Detecting trace amounts of pesticides are both required under increasingly stringent regulations and necessary to ensure patients receive a safe product. Pesticide contamination can have dangerous impacts on the consumer’s health, both acutely and chronically.

Pesticide analysis is especially difficult due to the extremely low detection levels required by regulations. As a result, only the most sensitive instrumentation and accurate methodologies can detect all of the required compounds.
