Foreign Material

This category of mandatory testing includes a visual inspection of the material for potential harmful contaminants.

Visible contaminants may include hair, insects, feces, mold, sand, soil, cinders, dirt, packaging contaminants, and manufacturing waste or by-products.

These potential contaminants will be identified through microscopic inspection with a high-powered optical/digital microscope.

Foreign materials are anything not intentionally added to the product. Visual inspections using high quality microscopes to ensure the products are as pure as possible. Some of the items we will look for are fibers, metals, hair, insects, and dirt. We will use next level photography equipment to help identify the foreign materials and provide the information our customers will need to ensure future products are not contaminated with these materials.
